Market checking intensified

Srinagar, Jan 8: Additional Deputy Commissioner has intensified market checking in Srinagar city and fined Rs. 4700 against the shopkeepers who violated the Essential Commodities Act. The enforcement team of Legal Metrology department, Kupwara and Baramulla has also intensified market checking of various markets of Kupwara and Baramulla. During the inspection, the team has registered cases against various traders and fined Rs. 10000 at Kupwara and Rs. 20000 at Baramulla against the traders who violated the weights and measures act.
