IRRT organises Zakat Conference

Srinagar, July 10: A galaxy of scholars, intellectuals, writers and members of civil society today participated in a Zakat Conference organized by Islamic Relief and Research Trust (IRRT) headed by Abdul Rashid Hanjoora and Hamid Naseem Rafiabadi.
The concept of Zakat in Islam was discussed in detail and speakers were of opinion that it is a finest and most sophisticated way of helping each other.
“People can contribute in their own way to help such people who are in need,” the speakers said.
They said the civil society members should spend their time in orphanages to interact with the orphans and destitute who have a great talent and potential.
Those who spoke on the occasion include Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani (Retd), Syed Sajad Hakeem, Kh. Farooq Renzushah, Hameed Naseem Rafiabadi, Ab. Rasheed Hanjoora, Mirwaiz of North, Syed Lateef, Prof. Zahoor Chat (Principal S. P. College) and Aslam Andrabi.
On this occasion a book titled Tariqa Hajj & Umra was released. The function was presided over by Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani.
