CONDOLENCE MEET HELD

Srinagar, July 11: Moin-ud-din Ahmad, father of Prof Talat Ahmad Vice-Chancellor  of University of Kashmir, passed away last night after a brief spell illness, a KU spokesman said.    He said a condolence meeting was held in KU campus here under the chairmanship of the officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof M A Sofi. The participants expressed heartfelt condolences to Prof Talat Ahmad, and prayed to Allah for peace to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family. Among others, the meeting was attended by Dean Academic Affairs, the Registrar, Dean College Development Council, Controller of Examinations, Deans on the Campus, Directors, officers and the representatives of the KUMSA (non-teaching staff), KUOA,   students and scholars, the spokesman added.
