Constable killed, 6 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar: A police constable, who was critically wounded in a road accident, succumbed at SKIMS Soura today while as six others were injured in separate mishaps across the Valley.
 According to police spokesman, Constable Muhammad Yousuf (No. 608/BD) son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat of Dablipora Wachi, Pulwama who was critically wounded in a road accident at Saifdan Budgam on June 30, succumbed to his wounds at SKIMS Soura. Muhammad Yousuf, police said, was hit by a tipper (JK04A-1907).
 Five passengers were wounded when the vehicle (JK01B-6350) they were travelling in from Lal Chowk to Batwara turned turtle at Barbarshah near SRTC Bridge, police said adding the wounded had been hospitalized.
 A Sumo (JK05-2704) hit and injured an 8-year-old boy, Muhammad Ayub Bhat son of Ghulam Muhammad of Lalpora at Main Chowk Dobiwan, Baramulla, police said, adding the vehicle was seized while the driver fled away from the spot.
