Involve Kashmiris in talks: Charis to Indo-Pak
Srinagar: The European Parliament member, Charis Davies, has asked India and Pakistan to involve the people of Kashmir in the dialogue for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
Charis Davies, according to Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) statement, was addressing a press conference in the press room of European Parliament on the occasion of the seventh Annual Kashmir Week, which commenced on July 11. The event has been organized by the All Party Group for Kashmir in the European Parliament and the ICHR Kashmir Centre, EU, under the sponsorship of Chris Davies and Ivo Vajgle. The Front chief patron and Kashmir Centre Brussels, director, Barrister A Majid Tramboo also spoke at the press conference.
Charis Davies said the laws such as PSA were against international human rights norms. He emphasized upon the Government of India to repeal this law. He welcomed the resumption of talks between Pakistan and India, stressing that the EU could play the role if the two countries approached it.
