Orphans perform stage show

Srinagar, July 16: In a bid to highlight the plight of orphans in their own words, a play was organized by Sheikh-ul-Alam Memorial Educational Tust.
Chairman of the Trust, Shahnawaz Sultan said that the main objective of the event was to highlight the problems faced by orphans. He said: “These children have got great potential and have high dreams.”
“We provide them monetary assistance, education, and books so that their dream comes true. These children are talented and only thing they lack is exposure and opportunity,” said Trust member Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat flanked by Coordinator Anhad Tanveer Hussian.
Dr Sheikh Ghulam Rasool said that whatever they performed is their real story and it depicts their plight.
A class 6 student, Iqra who was part of the play said:  “All I came here for was to narrate my tale before everyone.”
