AS Reds beat NCC
10TH MIRZA NOORUDDIN CRICKET TOURNEY
Srinagar, July 17: In the ongoing 10th Mirza Nooruddin memorial cricket tournament Amar Singh (AS) Club Reds defeated Nigeen Cricket Club (NCC) by 102 runs at Kashmir University ground on Sunday.
Batting first, AS Club reds scored 281 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 50 overs. Adil Sofi scored brilliant unbeaten 100 runs for them while Hamid scored 52 and Kamraan scored 51. Fayaz took four wickets for NCC while Yasir took three.
In reply NCC were bundled out for 179 runs in 38.2 overs. Fayaz with 41 was highest scorer for them. Mukhtar took four wickets while Irfan took three for AS Club. AS Reds won match by 102 runs. Adil Sofi was adjudged as man of the match.
Meanwhile in the match played on Saturday, AS Club Blues defeated City Club Blues by six wickets.
Batting first, City Blues were bundled out for 116 runs in 40.1 overs. Aijaz with 20 runs was highest scorer for them. Aqib took three wickets while Parvaiz and Asif took two each for AS Club.
In reply, AS Club achieved required target in 18 overs for the loss of four wickets. Asif with 41 was highest scorer for them while Mohsin scored unbeaten 40. Asif for his all round performance was adjudged as man of the match.
