Jora inaugurates 4-day children film festival

Srinagar, July 17: The Minister for Tourism Nawang Rigzin Jora on Sunday inaugurated the First ever children film festival “Lukchar” for underprivileged children of the valley.
 Jora in his inaugural address said that such film festivals would provide opportunities to the children to explore their talent in a broader canvas. “Literary and cultural activities are must to polish our children to compete future challenges. Children film festival will be made annual feature of tourism activities in the state,” he said.
 Director Information, Renzushah in his address threw detailed light on film screening. He said it is good attempt of the organization to organize such a children film festival for less privileged children.
 Director Tourism Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Shah said ‘Childhood days are most memorable days of life, what we learn in these days become pillars of our life’.
 The 4-day children film festival has been organized by Children Film Society of India in collaboration with Space Communication. During the festival days films on various subjects and plays would be screened and staged for underprivileged children of the valley.
