Budshah Hotel to be operational soon

Srinagar, July 18: The historic Hotel Budshah situated in the City centre would be made operational this year, said Tourism and Culture Minister   Nawang Rigzin Jora during inspection of the project Monday.
 The old Budshah hotel was gutted in 1984 and after a gap of 26 years government took up the renovation of hotel Budshah at an estimated cost of Rs 3.50 crore during last September, an official handout said. The project is targeted to be completed by September this year.
 “The hotel complex will have Kashmiri architecture look with a blend of Khatambandi, Daji-Diwari ornamental and Mughal architect works. It would possess chain of restaurants on completion where famous Kashmiri Cuisine ‘Wazwan’ besides traditional food of national repute for visitors would be available,” the handout added.
 Jora directed concerned executing agency to ensure time bound completion of the project.
