Academy condoles Shah’s demise

Srinagar: The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages has condoled the demise of ace broadcaster and playwright, Bashir Shah who passed away here the other day.
 In a statement, Academy said, Shah had a close association with the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and was a regular contributor to various publications particularly those being brought out in Urdu.
 Condoling his demise, Academy Secretary, Zafar Iqbal Manhas said, Shah was a great contemporary short story writer.
 Recalling Shah’s association with Academy, Zafar said the deceased had a close association with the Urdu section of the Academy for which he used to write on regular basis. He expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
