CS reviews NERM Project
Srinagar, July 1: Chief Secretary Madhav Lal on Friday discussed proposals of implementing the scheme under the National Earthquake Risk Mitigation (NERM) Project in Jammu and Kashmir with the members of State Executive Committee and Disaster Management.
“It is important that we remain prepared at all levels to respond to any eventuality and concerned departments should do the necessary home work in this regard” he said.
The project estimated at Rs. 23. 29 crore, envisages capacity building of the entire construction work force comprising masons, architects and engineers through many training programs, and upgradation of knowledge and skills on hazard resistant construction practices.
