Music programme held
Srinagar: As part of revival of cultural activities in the Valley the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised a music programme at Hajin on Tuesday.
Organised in collaboration with Kashmir Gulukar Society Hajin on the eve of death anniversary of Ali Muhammad Sheikh, the programme saw musical performances by noted singers Gulzar Ahmad Ganai and Abdul Gaffar Kanihami among others, a statement issued by Academy said.
The programme, it said, was part of a series aimed at revival of cultural activities across Kashmir.
Commenting on the revival programme, Academy secretary Zafar Iqbal Manhas said in the recent past due to fund paucity, the Academy was unable to hold cultural activities and the present attempt was aimed at revival of such activities.
