SMC hosts seminar on urban management
Srinagar, July 19: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Sheikh Mushtaq on Tuesday inaugurated a two day workshop on urban management at the SMC headquarters in the City.
In his inaugural address Mushtaq said: “Due to population explosion and pressure on the City, we have to take challenges confronting the institution.”
“SMC with all its available men and machinery is taking all possible measures to meet the challenges including keeping the City clean and provide better sanitation to the people,” he added.
Prof CK Koshy, Prof Shravan Kumar Acharya and Prof CN Ray of CEPT University Ahmadabad and Joint Commissioner, Fayaz Ahmad Bala also spoke on the occasion.
Senior SMC official Manzur Turray while talking to Greater Kashmir said the workshop held in collaboration with Regional Capacity Building Hub (RCHB) CEPT University of Ahmadabad would benefit the working at the civic body.
