ZGM column

This refers to a recent column by ZGM.  The write up by such a renowned author is of a very high significance and importance. The basic fact is that our nation was always divided into factions and it still is. This is foolishness to forget that we are or were “Shair” and “Bakere”.  This terminology was never fed by the so-called charismatic leaders, but actually we, as people, used this terminology and never bothered to mind what we are and what we should be. Our people are bothered about Palestine and come on streets to protest the killings. I ask a simple question that have they ever heard that killings in this part of earth have been ever protested in that part of earth. The answer is No, Never. A suicide bomber kills tens, twenties , forties and even more in our neighboring country and we still bark “Kashmir Banega….”. Do not we forget a “Hen” coming under a vehicle and people assemble around the dead hen and mark a protest against the driver. I am an eyewitness to such an incident in Soibugh, a small hamlet in the outskirts of Srinagar. The fundamental question haunts me like a ghost, like the way it haunts our renowned ZG. Muhammad on the fact that shall we ask our people to travel to a place somewhere where there are the people of our favorite country and let them work with them? To my experience we never had a “Charismatic Leader”
