Natipora community hall foundation stone laid

Srinagar, July 21: Junior minister of Home and Housing and Urban Development department on Thursday laid foundation stone of Community Centre at Natipora, Khal.
 An official handout said the Community Centre will be constructed by Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC).  All senior officers of SMC, PHE, Revenue, PDD and UEED were present at the function. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the Community Centre will act as a recreation centre that will allow general public to gather for group activities like marriages, social support and public information.
 Directing the concerned authorities to identify additional drainage works in the area, the minister urged the engineers of Drainage Wing of SMC and UEED to ensure that all completed drains are cleaned in a time-bound manner so that frequent choking is eliminated. He also directed SMC to lay tiles on inner pavements of the colonies in the locality.   
 Talking to Greater Kashmir on the sidelines of the event SMC official Hakeem Firdous Durrani said the work on the community hall would be taken up expeditiously.
