Peoples’ sacrifices alone highlighted K-issue: JKLF (R)

Srinagar, July 21: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chairman, Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karatey and senior vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir on Thursday said the Kashmir issue had got highlighted at international level due to supreme sacrifices offered by the lakhs of people.
Addressing a meeting of party leaders and activists at Front headquarters, here, Karatey and Mir warned, what they called, ‘the fugitives and sycophants’ to desist from unleashing propaganda against the ongoing freedom movement and Liberation Front (R). “These elements are active and propagating against freedom movement only to salvage their falling image,” they said, adding the pro-freedom people had not offered their sacrifices for acquiring passports and visas to go abroad, but for achieving the goal of their right of self-determination.
The Front leaders alleged that these elements had always used the ongoing freedom struggle for their personal interests and tried to make sell-out with it (struggle) for their petty interests.
The Front leaders described Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai as Kashmiris’ representative and ambassador and urged the American senators, champions of human rights in India and Pakistan and intellectuals to play their role getting resolved the Kashmir issue and securing Fai’s release.
