Domestic violence

Apropos the article titled "A curse called domestic violence" by Tanvir Sadiq. The article has once again highlighted the major evil that is prevailing in the society. In the male dominated society woman who is as delicate as a flower is crushed. She is subjected to all kinds of violence and harassment when she happens to be pure at heart. The in-laws don’t treat her as a daughter. Unfortunately marriages have turned to be an ugly affair in Kashmir where dowry and other evils are prevalent. This leads to domestic violence as well. One fails to understand how greed can overpower humanity. It is time to address the issue for a better society.
