CU-J DELAY
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, July 23: Two Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of National Panthers Party Saturday staged a walkout from the District Development Board (DDB) meeting of Samba in protest against the alleged deliberate attempts to delay the functioning of Central University Jammu.
Eyewitnesses said that the two MLAs, Harsh Dev Singh and Yash Paul Kundal, participated in the proceeding for some time before staging a walkout. He demanded that the ministers present in the meeting should explain the delay, which has caused lot of resentment among the youth, especially students, who have even resorted to agitational path.
Harsh Dev said that the government was deliberately delaying the appointment of Vice-Chancellor of the University and was using undue force to curb the voice of the students.
