Wajahat Habibullah inaugurates seminar on need for social transformation

Doda, July 23: A 3-day seminar on need for social transformation organized by Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti New Delhi in collaboration with Chinab Valley Education Trust and J&K RTI Movement was started in Doda today.
 A large number of delegates from across the country are participating in the seminar.
 Chairman, National Commission for Minorities Wajahat Habibullah While delivering key note address on Right to Information said the people have to understand the RTI Act properly and aware the masses about it. He said under the act the Government can be make accountable before public and help in empowering people in real sense.
 Convener, J&K RTI Movement Dr. Raja Muzzaffar Bhat said there is a dire need for creating awareness among people commencing a massive awareness campaign on RTI in the state.
 Among others, Director, Gandhi Smriti Ms Mani Mala, convener NAPV  Faisal Khan, Dr.Sheikh Ghulam Rasool ,  Samita Jain spoke on the occasion and highlighted the role of youth in social transformation and RTI.  They also called for for organizing such programmes in far flung areas regularly and appealed the people for taking massive participation in these programmes to get acquaint  about the act.
