Nobody will be allowed to harm Coalition: Dr Farooq
FIRDOUS KHANDEY
Thatri (Doda), July 24: Union Minister and National Conference patron Dr Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said nobody would be allowed to create hurdles in smooth functioning of Omar Abdullah led government.
“Though the coalition government is sailing smoothly yet there are many challenges. We have to do a lot to strengthen the coalition. Nobody will be allowed to create impediments in its functioning,” Dr Farooq told party workers here.
“We want to continue this coalition and we hope it will complete its tenure successfully.
It is the responsibility of the NC as well as the Congress leaders and workers to work for the larger interest of their parties,” he added
Dr Farooq said that he would take up the issue of regularization of Special Police Officers (SPOs) with concerned ministry as these people have made “sacrifices” in mountainous and hilly districts.
The Union Minister was in town to attend the marriage ceremony. He met various delegations of NC workers from Bhallesa, Doda, Kishtwar and Bhaderwah, besides prominent citizens of these areas.
