2-DAY SCIENCE EXHIBITION COMMENCES
Srinagar, July 25: Education Minister Peerzada Muhammad Syeed Monday while inaugurating a two day science exhibition called for inculcating scientific temper among the students to make them potential stake holders in Science and Technology.
Speaking at the 2-day State Level Mega Science Exhibition under INSPIRE Award Scheme, organised by State Institute of Education (SIE) Srinagar, he said modern era calls for grooming the new generation in Science and Technology, which he said is making rapid progress the world over.
The Minister said under the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) programme as many as 4994 award warrants worth Rs 1.79 crore were issued to students in Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, Director Information, Renzushah stressed on the importance of universelization of education. He said investment in education is akin to securing progress and prosperity. He assured full support of Information department in successfully organizing such programmes for the benefit of students.
Later, the Minister inspected the models installed by the students in the exhibition and appreciated their marvellous displays. He specially was fascinated in Water Tank Alarm Model, prepared by Ifra Aziz of Government Higher Secondary School Doda, an official handout said.
The guests including the Minister hailed the SIE Principal Muhammad Amin Reshi who is also the Joint Director Trainings for hosting the event.
Among others, Principal DIET, Joint Director School Education, CEOs, and DIET Principals were present on the occasion.
