Nayeem decry govt action

UNDECLARED CURFEW IN MANZGAM

Srinagar, July 25: Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan has expressed anguish over the continuous curbs on the people of Manzgam Kulgam and slapping of another Public Safety Act on Mirwaiz South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmad Yassir.
Addressing a meeting of party workers here, Nayeem said, “Manzgam incident is a heinous crime and stopping people to raise their voice against such incidents by implementing undeclared curfew proves that Kashmiri people are denied justice.”
“Manzgam incident needs to be investigated by an impartial agency so that the culprits could be brought to book and the occurrence of such crimes stopped.” He said, “But the government is on a path of curbing people in the name of law and order which is a proof that it is trying to shield the culprits”.
“The peoples’ reaction against such heinous crimes is natural. These crimes need to be investigated, but in our part of the world the rule of law and principals does not prevail and the government is using force on every occasion and that too in the name of law and order which is ridiculous”, Khan added.
Nayeem also condemned the slapping of Public safety Act against South Kashmir Mirwaiz, Qazi Ahmad Yasir for the fourth consecutive time. He said, “The re-arrest of Qazi Yasir just after the announcement made about his release on the day his uncle died by the Chief Minister is enough proof that Omar Abdullah can’t even release a person in jail because every decision about Kashmir is being taken in New Delhi.”
