Woman attempts suicide with children

Mendhar (Poonch), July 28: A 30-year-old housewife attempted suicide along with her two minor children by consuming pesticide at her residence, near here on Thursday morning.
Police said that Tazeem Akhter wife of Mudasir Hussain Shah consumed some poisonous substances after administering it to her two year old son, Amar Hussain, and one year old daughter, Sobia Kousar, at their residence in Golda village.
Her family members and local villagers rushed the trio to the government hospital, where doctors saved their lives. Though their condition was stated to be improving, police said it has not so far recorded statement of the woman on doctor’s request.
Preliminary investigation, however, suggested that the woman had verbal dual with her family members before she took the extreme step.
