Jammu: A former senior Army officer today joined the ruling National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir and expressed his willingness to work for the ex-servicemen community, families of slain Army soldiers and war widows in the State.
"I have joined the ruling NC with an aim to serve the people of the State in general but three lakh ex-servicemen in Jammu and Kashmir in particular," Retired Brig K S Jaswal told reporters at a function organised at NC headquarters here today.
Asserting that ex-servicemen need full attention of the Government, Brig Jaswal said "as a son of the soil, I will work for ex-servicemen, martyrs and war widows and iron out the problems confronting them in the state".
