Gunfight rages in Kupwara

Srinagar, July 29: A gunfight broke out between the militants and force personnel in frontier district of Kupwara on Friday, police said.
 “A joint party of policemen and soldiers cordoned off Daspora area this evening and launched searches. Militants present there opened fire on the search party which was retaliated triggering an encounter,” a police official said.
  He said the gun battle was on when reports last came in.
