BJP alleges backdoor appointments in CAPD

Rajouri, July 30: The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Saturday accused Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CAPD) of making backdoor appointments in the department.
Addressing a press conference, here State Secretary Bhartiya Janta Party Advocate Vibodh Gupta said that the department had recently engaged around 30 youth in the department without following the recruitment rules.
These youth, he said, were initially engaged as casual labourers in the department but now they are drawing Rs 3300 as remuneration per month.
He alleged that Minister of State for CAPD and power, who is also MLA of the area, had also engaged 13 persons through backdoor in Pahari Hostel Rajouri.
“Out of the 13 appointments in Pahari Hostel Rajouri, eleven persons are the relatives and supporters of the Minister”, he said while showing the order copies to the media persons.
