Police confiscate automobile spare parts

Banihal, July 30: Police on Saturday seized an automobile spare parts from a passenger vehicle at Jawahar Tunnel in Banihal tehsil.
Official sources said that police intercepted a vehicle (JK01N-6365), which was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, at Jawahar Tunnel and asked the driver for necessary documents.
During the frisking, it was found that vehicle was carrying automobile spare parts without depositing requisite excise and toll tax, sources adding, “The automobile spare parts were being transported to Islamabad (Anantnag) in south Kashmir.”
Police seized the automobile spare parts and handed over these to toll and excise officials at Lower Munda for necessary action.
