CET results declared

Srinagar, July 3: Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) Sunday declared the results of the Common Entrance Test-2011.
Abhinav Chetan son of Ashok Kumar Bhat has secured the first rank with 207 marks while Firdous Ahmad Ganaie son of Hamzullah Ganaie and Sheikh Aashiq son of Muhammad Ayub Sheikh have secured second and third ranks with 205 and 204 marks respectively.
Meanwhile, the BOPEE has asked provisionally selected candidates for admissions in MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. B.Sc. Agriculture and Allied Courses in SKUAST-K and SKUAST-J, SKIMS courses, Diploma in Dental Hygiene, BAMS, Physiotherapy, BUMS and BE/ B.TECH courses to report to the allotted institutions from July 6 to July 18 along with relevant certificates and admit card issued by the BOPEE.
 The examination was conducted on 25-26 June.
 BOPEE officials said the result was declared in a record time of six days. “83,000 answer scripts were evaluated in six days. This was done through innovate measures including color codification of answer scripts by the Board. The process made the evaluation easier and faster. For the first time, the Board also allotted stream alongwith the institutions to make the academic session faster,” they said.
 They said the entire evaluation process was personally monitored by the Chairman BOPEE, Prof MA Peer with active support of Controller Examination, Prof Gopal Gupta.
