Govt making efforts to alleviate poverty: G H Mir
Srinagar, July 3: The Government is making all out efforts in eradicating poverty and social evils from the society and also ensuring balanced development of all the three regions of the State.
This was stated by Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir while addressing public at Gojaldara village of Tangmarg constituency. He said the Government was committed to provide all basic facilities and upgrade living standards of the people belonging to various sections of the society.
He said the steps taken by State Government for speeding up development process was giving better results and people ‘feel satisfied’ to a large extent.
Responding to the demands projected by people, the Minister said the problems of the people were being solved at their doorsteps by the public representatives through local administration.
Saying that peace was imperative for successful implementation of development schemes, Mir lauded the people for supporting Government by maintaining tranquility and brotherhood in various spheres of life.
Giving details of pace of progress on various development projects, the Minister said the work was apace on 14.05 kilometer Gojaldara-Drang Tangmarg road at a cost of Rs 9.14 crore and the work was expected to be completed within next two years.
