Srinagar, July 4: Hurriyat Conference (M) has called for a complete shutdown on July 13, to mark the anniversary of 1931 martyrs.
“We urge people to observe a complete shutdown on July 13. We also make a fervent appeal to all the pro-freedom groups to participate in our program and march towards Mazar-e-Shuhda Naqashband Sahab from Jamia Masjid for offering Fateha to the Martyrs of 1931 and the youth killed during last year,” a Hurriyat spokesman said after a meeting of the Conglomerate’s Executive Council meeting which was chaired by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
Meanwhile, the spokesman expressed hope that dialogue between India and Pakistan would continue until durable solution of the Kashmir issue is found.
“We also express gratitude to the OIC for supporting the right to self determination of Kashmiris,” he added.
