Srinagar, July 5: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Tuesday assured the people of JK that the development decisions of his government would be based on justice and equity.
He said equitable development of all areas, regions and sub-regions form the guiding principle of the development strategy of his government.
Omar said that reaching out to public all across the State to address their grievances on development front is the standard and determination of his government. “We do not want any area remaining out of the development process kick started by the government since last two and the half years”, he added.
Speaking to a delegation of over 200 prominent citizens, political activists and social workers of Magam area here, the Chief Minister said that wherever government feels that focused attention is required to remove the genuine public grievance it shows prompt response.
Omar Abdullah said that any decision based on justice never proves wrong adding that false promises for political considerations never stand the test of the time. He said good decisions based on equity reflect the good governance and meet the aspirations of the people.
The delegation had traveled from Magam to Srinagar to call on the Chief Minister and express the gratitude of people of Magam and adjacent areas to the Chief Minister for granting a Degree College to Magam. “You have kept your promise in this regard and fulfilled the cherished desire of the people of the area”, they told the Chief Minister and said that the people have gone through agitation and struggle for getting Degree College in the past without any result. “You felt the injustice meted out to the area and took decision of granting the college to the area for which we are thank full to you and your government”, the delegation said.
The delegation also invited the Chief Minister to visit the area and lay the foundation of new college complex which the Chief Minister accepted and thanked the people for their good will and support to his government.
