Minister takes stock of facilities at Parimpora Mandi
SAYS RS 11 CR EARMARKED FOR RENOVATION

Srinagar, July 5: Minister for Horticulture & Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma today visited Parimpora fruit mandi, here and took stock of the facilities available for the traders there, an official statement said.
While interacting with the traders, the Minister said that Government was committed to upgrade facilities in the mandi for which an amount of Rs 11 crore has been earmarked. He said Rs 3.50 crore have been spent on various renovation works, which include, mecadamization of roads, electricity, improvement of sanitation and drinking water facilities. He directed the executing agency to speed up the renovation works and complete the mecadamization of roads in the mandi before the onset of winter season.
To mention, Greater Kashmir had recently carried a detailed story on the mandi highlighting its infrastructure deficiency and other problems.
