Narcotic smuggling foiled, 2 held

Ramban: Police claimed to have foiled a narcotic smuggling bid by arresting two persons along the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Tuesday.
 Official sources said a team of Ramban police led by SHO Ramban Inspector, Virender Singh intercepted a truck at a naka at Korhi Morh. “During checking of the truck (JK03B 5711), which was on way from Srinagar to Jammu, at least 100 kilograms of Poppy Straw was recovered from a specifically designed tool box.”
 Both the driver and conductor of the truck, identified as Muhammad Latief Ganai son of Abdul Rashid Ganai and Jahangir Ahmed Dar son of Abdul Salam Dar of Islamabad (Anantnag) were arrested and booked under NDPS.
