JKSM for release of detainees
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement has appealed to the international community to take cognizance of the alleged human rights violations in Kashmir and put pressure on India to release all the incarcerated pro-freedom leaders and activists.
Addressing a party meeting, the party chairman, Zaffar Akbar Bhat paid rich tributes to all the martyrs including those of 2010. He demanded release of all Kashmiri detainees, revocation of black laws and immediate halt to harassment of pro-freedom leaders and activists. He reiterated the pledge to the mission of martyrs to its logical end.
Bhat said India and Pakistan must initiate a concrete, sincere and meaningful dialogue process to settle the lingering Kashmir dispute. He said if the Kashmir dispute was to be resolved through dialogue, then Pakistan and India must first improve relations and take steps to reduce hostility towards each other.
