Local Masjid Intizaamiya appeals for relief

Srinagar, July 6: Intizamia Committee Masjid-e-Wahab Sahib, Teelwandori, Jamia Masjid, has appealed the people in general and well-off in particular for financial help to the fire victims of Nowhatta, Srinagar.
In a statement Wednesday, the Intizaamiya Committee president Ghulam Hassan Shawl said: “Several residential houses were gutted in the devastating fire on July 2, 2011, at Mohalla Jamia Masjid, Nowhatta. All the gutted houses belong to very poor people who are not in a position to reconstruct their houses from their own sources. They are in dire need of financial and material help.”
The president said, “The Intizamia has set up a Relief Committee and appeals to all the well-off people to deposit their donations, both in cash and kind, personally at its office against proper receipts for the help to fire victims.”
Meanwhile, the Intizamia has cautioned people against fraud fund raisers.
