Omar Reviews 4-Lane Highway Project
Srinagar, July 6: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Wednesday asked the State Revenue Department to fast track the disbursement of compensation to the people whose land is being acquired for the construction of 4-lane highway project from Lakhanpur to Srinagar.
The Chief Minister directed the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir to monitor the clearance of payment to the concerned wherever it is yet to be made so that the land is handed over to the National Highway Authority for construction work.
Omar highlighted the importance of this project for the overall socio-economic development and progress of the State and emphasized the need for joint efforts for its timely completion. “Keeping its significance in mind the officers concerned at all levels should devote fullest attention to remove all bottlenecks on fast track to help completion of the project well in time,” he added.
