Power woes in Kangan

SHEIKH NAZIR

Kangan, July 6: The residents of New Colony Gund Kangan have complained that they had been without electricity from the last two weeks.
According to the locals, the PDD officials had failed to repair the transformer of the area which had developed some technical snag. “They took away the transformer for repairs and failed to install it,” the residents said, adding that despite numerous reminders, the senior officials failed to do anything substantial.
When contacted PDD Superintendent Engineer, Ganderbal, Bashir Ahmad Khan told Greater Kashmir, “I will ask the AEE to install a new transformer in the area.”
