Woman injured in bear attack

Srinagar: A bear attacked and wounded a woman in the forest area of Gurd-Draman, at South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district.
 According to police, the wounded has been identified as Sharifa Begum, 40, wife of Ghulam Muhammad Nehru of Gurd-Draman Kokernag.
 Police said the injured woman had been hospitalized.


POLICE ORGANIZES PICNIC
 Police Control Room today organized a picnic for the indoor patients of the police drug de-addiction centre.
 According to police spokesman, the picnic was part of an effort to promote the rehabilitation of patients in the community. The patients were taken to Baba Reshi.
