Misfire by colleague kills cop in Budgam

Srinagar, July 7: A policeman was killed when service rifle of his colleague went off accidentally at a camp in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, official sources told PBI Thursday.  
They said Constable Rajesh Kumar (Belt No. 584) of IRP sustained a fatal injury in his abdomen in an accidental fire by one of his colleague at 20th Bn camp at Arizal Beerwah Budgam this morning.
Kumar was shifted to Sub District Hospital Beerwah from where he was referred to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS), Hospital here for specialized treatment.  However Kumar succumbed to his injuries, they added.
