Tributes paid to Awlia-e-Kiram
Scholars, Ulema participate in congregation
Srinagar, July 7: The Nagbal Darul-Alum today organized a grand conference in which rich tributes were paid to Awlia-e-Kiram of Kashmir.
People of the area gathered in large number in the conference, which was addressed by Ulema, scholars, and writers throughout the day.
Addressing the conference, Mufti Azam Bashir-ud-Din emphasized on awaring the younger generation about the contribution of Sufi saints. He said Hazrat Bulbul Shah (RA) and Hazrat Amiri Kabir(RA) reformed the society preaching the concept of truth, love and brotherhood. He said these saints not only worked for spiritual upliftment of the society but also taught practical economy to bring prosperity to the people.
Speaking on the occasion, Director, Information and Public Relations, Renzushah said that the Sufi saints laid strong foundation for Kashmiriyat characterized by tolerance, harmony and universal brotherhood. He said Kashmiris are indebted to these saints for evolving a society based on truthfulness and pious living.
“The teachings of these saints are relevant for all ages to come. Their concept of love and brotherhood will continue to inspire younger generation of the valley to work for social progress, economic development and spiritual upliftment,” he said.
