Students Suffer
Srinagar: Greater Kashmir has been receiving umpteen phone calls from students of various degree colleges in Kashmir that they have been missing their regular classes since contractual lecturers went on a strike.
Students of Beerwah Degree College on Friday called up Greater Kashmir office saying, “Please ask Government to intervene to end the ongoing strike. Classes undertaken by the two lectures in Commerce department have come to an abrupt end,” they added.“We come from far-flung areas to attend the college but we have to return disappointed,” students said. Similar complaints are pouring in from various parts of the Valley. Most of the students fear that they may lose one academic year.
