Public Park

Public Parks and gardens provide recreation particularly in the urban areas where there are more civil structures and traffic while lesser space to move on. Nowgam also falls under the urban category but is devoid of a public park to jog and exercise, to be a source of peace for elderly people, a healthy pastime for children while a common space for all to move about freely and breathe fresh air. Undoubtedly there is a large open space available in the vicinity of our area that could well be acquired and utilized for such a purpose of community well-being if government wishes so. Because parks provide the opportunity to be physically active, facilitate social interactions and improve the health. There is a dire need to create a public park in the area.
