1 killed, 4 hurt in mishaps
Pampore, June 10: One person was killed and two others wounded when an army vehicle collided with a car at Galander here on Friday.
According to reports, army’s 9 Rashtriya Rifles vehicle (02D149749X) collided with the car coming from Islamabad (Anantnag) (JK01K-8817) critically injuring three persons Ghulam Muhammad Ganaie son Ashoor Ganaie of Amira Kadal, Muhammad Subhan Dar son of Abdul Rehman of Hyderpora and Ashiq Hussain Sheikh son of Ali Muhammad of Aloochibagh.
Reports said the wounded Ghulam Muhammad Ganaie succumbed to injuries in the hospital, adding the two persons had been shifted to SKIMS, Soura.
Meanwhile, a sumo (JK09-5109) skidded off the road at Khumriyal Kupwara, injuring the driver Shabir Ahmad Ganaie and passenger Aijaz Ahmad Ganaie both residents of Manzhar Kupwara.
In another incident, a sumo (JK12-2192) hit and injured a pedestrian Muhammad Shabir son of Raj Muhammad of Rajouri at Barwala Kangan, Ganderbal, police said.
