Fill up vacancies of clerks in schools: JKTF to DSEK

Srinagar, June 10: Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Forum has appealed to the director School Education, Kashmir, for filling up of the vacancies of junior assistants in secondary schools.
“Most of the high schools in Valley are without clerks. The clerical work in these schools is either done by the teachers or a clerk who is assigned responsibility of doing clerical job of two or three schools together. As a result, official work in these high schools is not done in a proper way and is never up to the mark. Under such circumstances, all the three--the headmaster, the staff and the clerk, have always one or the other grouse to express. Such a system has always been hampering the smooth administrative and academic functioning in the schools,” said the Forum chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani while addressing meeting of Forum here.
Qayoom appealed to the Education minister, the secretary education and the director School Education, Kashmir, to take up the issue of charge allowance of in-charge officers of the department with the authorities of Finance department so that no treasury officer put them to inconvenience.
