Remember 2010 unrest martyrs: Nayeem to people
Srinagar, June 10: National Front chairman, Nayeem Khan has stressed upon the people to remember the martyrs of last year’s uprising.
On the first anniversary of martyr Tufail Matoo, Nayeem lashed out at the authorities for not arresting his killers.
In a statement Nayeem said, “Tufail was returning home when he was killed by the men in uniform.” Khan said Tufail’s “killers were still enjoying the power and their position, which is a proof that the Government was encouraging the killing of our youth at the behest of New Delhi.”
Nayeem appealed to the people to offer special prayers for Tufail and other martyrs of 2010.
He stressed upon the Government of India to shun it’s ‘stubbornness’ towards Kashmir issue and resolve it once for all. “It is high time for the GOI to make the atmosphere conducive for meaningful dialogue process. The Kashmir dispute should be settled according to the wishes and aspirations of people and keeping in view the sacrifices of masses,” Khan observed.
Paying tributes to 2010 martyrs, he said, “Our children are being killed and put behind bars because we are demanding our political right.”
