Rs 60 cr being spent on macadamization: R&B

Srinagar, June 10: 400 kms of roads in Srinagar have been taken up for macadamization under City Development Programme (CDP) by the R&B Department and accordingly Rs. 60 crore are being spent by the concerned department on execution of this work.
 This was revealed at officers meeting chaired by Advisor to Chief Minister  Mubarak Gul  an official handout Friday said.
 “21 kms of the Shehri Khaas roads are presently under macadamization and till now Rs. 5.44 crore have already been spent,” it added.
 Executive Engineer, R&B said that “Rs 34 lakh have been spent on the macadamization of 2 kms Nawakadal-Aalikadal/Bulbul Shah road and Rs. 75 lakh have been spent on macadamization of 3 kms Dalypora-Nawakadal/Sazgaripora road.”
  He also claimed that Rs. 75 lakh have been spent on the macadamization of 1 ½ kms Aali Masjid-Sazgaripora, four lane tunnel besides Rs. 40 lakh on 1 ½ kms of Hawal-Islamia College road, Rs. 30 lakh on 1 km Bagh-Ali Mardan Khan Mandibal, Rs. 37 lakh on 1 ½ kms.
 “Lal Bazar Colony, Rs. 35 lakh on 1 ½ kms Bagh Ali Mardan Khan-Hazratbal road, Rs. 35 lakh on 2 kms Mughal road Zakura-Naseem bagh including Abu Bakr lane, Rs. 35 lakh on Shala Naseem-Fazullah Haq colony. He also informed that under NABARD scheme Rs. 1.28 crore have been spent on the macadamization of 4 kms from Danihama to Hardora in Hazratbal area.”
