Excise deptt destroys poppy

Srinagar, June 15: Continuing its drive against cultivation of poppy, the Excise Department destroyed poppy grown on 390 kanals in Shopian district.
 Officials said a team headed by Excise and Taxation Officer, Muhammad Altaf Rather and Excise Officer, Muhammad Shafi Khan with the assistance of SP Shopian, Mumtaz Afzal carried the drive in Nuseepora, Sheikhpora and Mispora villages in the district.
