Fulfill our demands: JKEEU to Govt
Srinagar, June 15: Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Employees Union (JKEEU) on Wednesday threatened to go on strike from next month if the Government failed to fulfill its demands.
In a statement, the publicity secretary of JKEEU said the Union recently submitted its demand charter to the Commissioner Secretary Power, Basharat Ahmad Dhar during a meeting. Among those who participated in the meeting included JKEEU president Abdul Salam Rajpuri, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad Matoo, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Zahoor Ahmad Wani and Muhammad Maqbool Najar “Mr Basharat assured that all our demands will be fulfilled. However, we have decided that if the demands would not be fulfilled by the end of June, the Union will go on strike from first week of July,” the statement said.
