Come with case diaries on next hearing: Court to SIT
Tufail Matoo case
Srinagar: Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar on Thursday directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to be present on the next hearing in Tufail Matoo case along with the case diaries.
The case was listed on Thursday before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar, Yashpal Bourney, and no one appeared on behalf of the SIT. The CJM has fixed the next date of hearing on July 1.
During the previous hearings, the CJM had pulled up police for shoddy probe observing no concrete results were achieved in the investigations.
On March 16, a woman witness identified a police constable who she said had allegedly fired teargas shell at the teenager.
However, the police later informed the court that paramilitary CRPF and not police was involved in the killing.
