Woman dies in Charar-e-Sharief shrine
Srinagar, June 16: A woman died due to brain hemorrhage inside the Charar-i-Sharief shrine in Budgam.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Khurshee wife of Rama Bhat of Buzgam Kulgam. Khurshee was accompanied by her son Abdul Majeed Bhat, police said.
YOUTH DROWNS IN KUPWARA
Nadeem Ahmad Mir son of Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Mughal Pora Kupwara drowned in Nagri-Wari stream at Hatmulla, Kupwara, police said, adding the body of the deceased was fished out and handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
WOMAN ELECTROCUTED
A woman was electrocuted after she allegedly touched an electric wire in her home at Laripreng area in Ganderbal district on Thursday.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Hajira Begum wife of Muhammad Ramzan Malik. (Sheikh Nazir)
23 HURT IN ROAD MISHAPS
Twenty-three persons were injured in separate road accidents in Valley.
A passenger vehicle (JK01K-9943) turned turtle near Khrew Pampore injuring 16 passengers, police said.
A Sumo (JK05B-0980) turned turtle near Delina Baramulla injuring four passengers, police said.
In another incident, a sumo (JK09-1826) hit and injured a boy Hilal Ahmad Lone son of Bashir Ahmad of Khumriyal near Nawa Bazar Khumriyal, Kupwara.
A sumo (JK05A-9820) hit and injured another boy Jahangir Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din of Magam near Umar Colony, Handwara.
A vehicle (JK01J-8591) collided with a car (JK05B-7855) near Nadihal, Bandipora injuring Firdous Ahmad Denthoo son of Abdul Aziz of Nusoo Bandipora.
YOUTH CONFERENCE HELD
Baramulla police organised a youth conference at Government Higher Secondary School Pattan.
The conference was attended by students from different educational institutions.
Superintendent of Police, Dr Muhammad Haseeb Mughal was the chief guest.
